Show your customization :)

Postby helt » 21 Nov 2012, 01:09

Hi guys,

i tweaked my Installation by changing *some* of the css. (using the personalize Stylesheet Feature)

what do you think? Most of the work was to make the unread feed entries Background green instead of making the link bold. That way, the Headline stays the same size and does not shrink because the text went from bold to normal.

Code: Select all

* {
   vertical-align: baseline;
   font-weight: inherit;
   font-family: inherit;
   font-style: inherit;
   font-size: 100%;
   border: 0 none;
   outline: 0;
   padding: 0;
   margin: 0;
}
a {
   color: inherit;
}

a.cdmFeedTitle {
   font-size: 1.5em;
}
div.hlTitle {
   cursor: pointer;
   font-size: 1.5em;
}
span.contentPreview {
   color: gray;
   font-size: 1em;
   font-weight: normal;
}
.postContent {
   font-face: Serif;
   font-size: 1.2em !important;
   line-height: 1.4em;
}
#feeds-holder {
   font-size: 12pt;
}
#content-insert {
   font-size: 14pt!important;
}
div.postReply div.postHeader {
   background: url('images/toolbar.png') repeat-x scroll left bottom transparent;
   border-color: #88B0F0;
   border-style: solid;
   border-width: 0 0 1px;
   color: #909090;
   font-size: 1.5em !important;
   padding: 5px;
}
div#headlines-toolbar span.r {
   background: none repeat scroll 0 0 #ECF4FF;
   border-left: 5px solid white;
   float: right;
   font-size: 3em;
   padding: 0 4px;
   position: relative;
   text-align: right;
}
blockquote {
   font-size: 1em!important;
}
h3 {
   font-size: 2em!important;
}
.even.Unread {
   background-color: #88cc88;
   font-weight: normal;
}
.odd.Unread {
   background-color: #99dd99;
   font-weight: normal;
}
img.feedIcon {
    width: 16px;
    height: 16px;
}

img.tinyFeedIcon {
    width: 32px;
    height: 32px;
}
div.hlRight img {
    max-width: 32px;
    max-height: 32px}

Code: Select all

.even, .even td { margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; border-width : 0px 0px 0px 0px; background-color : #ffffff;}
.odd, .odd td { margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; border-width : 0px 0px 0px 0px; }
.even.Unread, .even.Unread td { margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; background-color : #ffffff; border-width : 0px 0px 0px 0px; }
.odd.Unread, .odd.Unread td { margin-top: 0.5em; margin-bottom: 0.5em; border-width : 0px 0px 0px 0px; }
#dijit__TreeNode_1, #dijit__TreeNode_2 {padding-bottom: 1.5em; padding-top: .3em; border-bottom:gray solid 1px; border-top: #f0f0f0  solid 1em;}
#dijit__TreeNode_3 {padding-top: .3em; border-top: #f0f0f0  solid 1em;}
.Selected p {font-size: 14px;}

1. eliminates the alternate color in odd an even articles
2. eliminates borders between articles
3. separates the special feeds tree, the labels tree and the categories tree in three different blocks

The following stylesheet improve the typography settings of the article view,
which isn't very optimal by default:

- serif font (my personal preference)
- bigger line height
- maximum width, to limit words/line
- reduced font weight

Code: Select all

div.postReply div.postContent {
  font-family: georgia,times,serif;
  font-size: 1.1em;
  line-height: 140%;
  font-weight: 400;
  max-width: 450px;
  text-rendering: optimizeLegibility;
  text-align:justify;
}
div.postReply div.postContent b,
div.postReply div.postContent strong,
div.postReply div.postContent h1,
div.postReply div.postContent h2,
div.postReply div.postContent h3,
.Unread {
    font-weight: 700;
}

#content-insert blockquote,
#headlines-frame blockquote,
.dijitContentPane blockquote {
  font-size: 1em;
}
