Easily install Tiny Tiny RSS with Ansible

Hello,

while toying around with Ansible I needed something a bit more complex to play with. So I decided to install our beloved Tiny Tiny RSS on my Raspberry Pi. The resulting role can be found on GitHub and Ansible Galaxy. It installs Tiny Tiny RSS on lightttpd using PostgreSQL as database backend. After running it you can directly open it in your browser no need to first go through the install steps. Have a look at it and tell me what you think. It's still a bit rough around the edges but works for me and travis-ci :D

Have fun
Tobias

This looks interesting (I own a Pi myself and was just about to install tt-rss on it) but I don't quite get it, sorry...

What is Ansible? A distribution? Is it something I have to install on a Pi first?

Well you could click on the links. Ansible is a configuration management software. You can build reproducible installation scripts (playbooks) for your servers. If you don't have Linux or Mac OS X at home you could install Ansible on your Raspi

Code: Select all

sudo pip install ansible

And use the playbook this way.
