dashboard: iGoogle replacement

Postby jan831 » 07 May 2013, 00:09

It's not really in line with their company policy "do no evil", but google is going to shut down his "personalized homepage" service

so it was time for me to create a replacement...

Do you have API enabled in prefs?

Is it configurable? I'm thinking about number of columns in each category, number of rows visible in each column, font-style, font-size, colours, etc...

In its current form it is a bit hard to get a decent overview which is what - in my opinion - makes iGoogle really useful.

currently it's not configurable. Font size is definitely an issue (but this large font appears to be the default in jQuery)

other styling can be done via jquery ui themes.

number of rows per feed is configurable, via the javascript variable "limit" in the file index.html

I'll do some more changes as I use it on a daily basis (as my home page)
