Thanks

Which part of "unsupported platforms" you don't understand?

http://www.chicagovps.net/openvz.html basic option. $1 / mo. You have to pay for a whole year upfront. It takes some management as it is a full server not just an apache instance.

Guys, please.

1) Unsupported platform means that it is not supported. So, people can't ask for support in this forum. But they may ask for help. The purpose of this forum is letting people ask for help (and maybe even getting it) without polluting the forum for legitimate support questions. So he can keep asking all that he wants.

2) The point here is not if the failure is in tt-rss or not. The point is if people here can help or not. People can ask in this forum for problems that affect tt-rss but are not part of tt-rss itself, as long as they are problems that other people might have suffered and have a solution for, even if the solution is completely outside tt-rss. That's why it's called Unsupported. Because it is not support. EDIT: If people asking about solving problems with hostings bothers you you can safely ignore this forum and read only the Support forum.

This is what I think.

Yeah. That's the advice we can give after the question. Not before.

that was the advice after the question, which seems to have been ignored.

that said, it's pretty hard to tell the guy "go ask your provider how to do cron on their system" *BEFORE* they ask the question about having cron problems.

sometimes the best help is "we can't help you here" and possibly a pointer to where one can find help.
