Feed timeouts (tor)

Postby curtis33 » 11 Feb 2014, 10:44

I am trying to run tt-rss feed updates over the Tor network. Of course it means that it is sometimes (not that often, actually) very slow or making a connection is not possible at all. So, in prefs/freeds/feeds with update errors will contain these:

Tiny Tiny RSS: New Releases: file_get_contents(http://tt-rss.org/releases.rss): failed to open stream: Connection timed out

However "torify wget" is able to access the feed just fine, so it should be just a temporary glitch. However, it seems tt-rss is not retrying but instead marks the feed as permanently broken. Is this true and can I somehow avoid it?

Any of you using updating tt-rss over Tor successfully?
