Re: Observations on the Android App

I see two apps in the app store. One is a trial with an unlocker. The other is free but not as good and it crashed on me. I'm guessing the discussion here is about the paid version.

So far so good, as far as I can see. One thing that I don't like is that images aren't showing up in articles, just links to images. Then when I click the link I have to open a browser. I would rather be able to see the images and open them bigger in an image-opening program.

Is this just because I don't have the full version, or is there some setting that will show me images?

The only functional difference between unlocked and a trial app is that trial one stops working after 7 days.

Do you have the "Use less traffic" check-box enabled on the login screen? If so, log out disable that and then log in again and see if the images show up for you. This is in the web version by the way. Changes you make on the web version persist to the Android client.

Hm, I thought some configuration options you set on the web version also get set for the Android client.

Thanks for the updates to the Android app! Now I can visually see that I've starred/published my articles without guessing. Also, it looks fantastic with the UI redesign!

Hello,
A minor issue with the french localisation of the android app : in what should be the 'Mark as read' in english menu for a feed, the french translation is made as 'Marqué comme lu' ('Marked as read') instead of 'Marquer comme lu' ('Mark as read').
I didn't take the time do see if I could correct this my self, sorry.

Keep on the good job, I guess TTRSS should see a huge bump with all the Google Reader refugees like me...

Send a pull request. It's as easy as editing a text file (values-fr/strings.xml).
