share between users?

I know that development has been going crazy fast recently, so maybe this idea has already been implemented/shot down, but I'd love to be able to share articles directly with other users of ttrss on the same server. Maybe a folder under "special". It was one of my favorite features of greader before they dumped it to force me onto google+ (lol, that worked).

Is publishing what you're looking for?

That's pretty much it! Do you know, is it the same feed for all users on a server, or does each user have their own generated feed?

Each user has its own feed.

Each user has a feed.

Also note that tt-rss ability to expose stuff as rss is amazing. ANY view (search, label, filter, tag, ect) can be exposed as an rss feed for others (or yourself) to subscribe to. This is an incredibly powerful feature.

I love that feature, too. I even display the shared feed in a widget on my website. Here is my code if you want that, too: https://github.com/nhoening/gritttt-rss ... red-widget

Publishing is a nice feature, but it would be nice if there was a more social aspect to it, like the way sharing used to work on Google Reader (or currently works on The Old Reader).

Basically, I think it would be nice if you could publish a story, and then other users on the same server (or maybe even other users on other, connected instances) could comment on the stories.

This could probably be accomplished with a plugin, but it would be a pretty big thing to do. It might even be good to implement it as multiple plugins, e.g., one plugin to handle following people (so you don't have to see everyone's published feeds, necessarily), and another one to handle the actually commenting.

Defiantly a plugin.

I'm a semantic web nut, that said what I think would be best is to actually have comments stored in another service. The tt-rss (or any rss-reader) plugin would subscribe to that service and display comments as desired.

I'm working on such a plugin: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1532

However, I haven't had much time lately as I started writing a Windows 8 / Windows Phone 8 app which was of much more use to me and my litle eco-system.

If I find time I'll push it to git and maybe someone has fun trying it out and filling some bugs.

Thanks,
MC
