Fulltext Feed option - parse page for content?

Postby Kasad » 11 Apr 2013, 13:40

Hello everyone,

currently I'm using http://fulltextrssfeed.com/ and http://fullrss.net/ to get the full text from some pages (because their feed is short as a bad joke)...
Is there a chance to get this parsing option in tt-rss? (Optional parsing for each feed, because sometimes the short version is long enough) I don't like using some 3party pages for parsing, because if they fail (close....greader....), I don't get the feed any longer.

Greetings
Kasad

Hi,

wow, thank you - this is awesome.
Now I'm going to trim the whole text to switch on more, only if I want to read it.

My idea: jquery + expander plugin:
http://plugins.learningjquery.com/expander/index.html

Or do you know a better solution?

Greetings
Kasad

Hi

Please could you tell me how you actually save what you put in the FullPost tab in preferences?

There's no save button and when I exit preferences the text disappears

Thanks

There's got to be something wrong with either how you set it up, or you need to scroll down. There's a Save button at the lower left, right under the box where you enter the JSON array. I've been going through my feeds today and setting up ones that annoy me with "read the full post at.." crap.

I must say that the Full Text plugin has made me very happy.

A quick question: does the plugin operate before or after the filters? If a filter searches for a keyword that is not in the original feed but does appear in the full text fetched by the plugin, is the filter triggered?
