Feature request: Maintance mode

One feature I'm currently missing is some kind of maintance mode which can be enabled i.e. beforce updating tt-rss or doing some database maintance. While active at least no logins should be possible and all active sessions except the one who activated the maintance mode should be invalidated .

Why not just rename index.php? or rename the whole tt-rss folder to disable mobile clients as well.

My tt-rss installation is used by several people and one that way they'd be crying that tt-rss is broken and keep me away from doing the maintance. With a maintance-mode which says that there is a maintance underway I could complete the maintance faster and nobody needs to cry ;-)

This is easily solved using .htaccess.

If users will complain that it is down, why not create an index.php that says closed for maintenance? That would give you all the benefits of the maintenance mode.

I implied renaming and putting an index.htm there with maintenance message. And with .htaccess you can do stuff like restrict access and/or temporarily redirect to a different location.
