When subscribing to feed via the API, return the Feed ID

Postby jbrayton » 27 Aug 2016, 18:17

I am the developer of Feed Hawk, an iOS app that lets you subscribe to the feeds of a web site from within Safari, Chrome, and most other iOS web browsers. I am in the process of adding support for tt-rss.

One change to the tt-rss API that would be helpful is for tt-rss to return the Feed ID of the new feed after creating it. I attached a patch defining the change I have in mind. There are three changed lines of code:

  • If the API adds the feed, it adds the Feed ID as a "feed_id" attribute to the returned "content" object.
  • If the API does not add the feed because the user is already subscribed to that feed, it adds the Feed ID of the existing feed to the returned "content" object.
  • It sets the API_LEVEL to 14.

Could I get developer privileges in GitLab so that I can submit this as a pull request? My GitLab username is jbrayton.

Thank you.

John
