Seems like a lot of work to achieve exactly the same result while using a somewhat different underlying database structure. Seems like a nice task for someone with nothing better to do.

So I gather you're not against it per se, as long as someone would create a patch?

Let the record state that I'm not against anyone creating a patch. Maybe even multiple patches if so they would choose.

How would I hide Fresh, Archived and Recently read? I only use All articles and Starred articles and it would be nice to hide the ones I do not use.

Thanks

Hi,

Well, you can make a patch to remove the publish feature but, please, keep it configurable! This feature is really usefull for ones, like me, who "publish" some news in a personal website. The same job can be done with labels? Yes, it can! But the current method is easy and don't need almost any effort from an user point of view.

No you see labels are so great so in the name of cleanliness we're going to purge this abomination. Actually, starred functionality can also be duplicated with labels, so I guess we'll have to expunge that one too.

Next task on the agenda is removing article content, it's so unclean.

just because YOU don't happen to use some feature, or indeed like it, doesn't mean that there aren't whole hoards of others who DO like it.

might think on that before you push for "cleaning things up" next time.

even better idea, fix it in your own copy the way you want it to be, and quit trying to fuck it up for the rest of us.

I have just as much say in what gets into the next release as you, that is none. So don't get your pants in a knot.
