And yet another google reader theme

Postby ch000 » 03 Jun 2013, 00:40

Hi there,

I made another google reader theme. It should be compatible with v1.8 and v1.7.9

The v1.7.9 version doesn't look quite as good as the 1.8 version, sorry.

It doesn't support the list view (or anything else what differs from the tt-rss default settings).

If you like it, feel free to download:

Feedback is always welcome

Cheers,
Christian

The screenshot looks nice, but I can't get it to work right. Which version of tt-rss do you have? Which browser do you use?

I'm on the latest code from GitHub. There is a change in the way theming works. Default styles are not included by default so you can start themes from scratch. I have done this and built a feedly theme (viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2065, on GitHub https://github.com/levito/tt-rss-feedly-theme).

However, I included the default styles in the beginning of yagrt.css. Too many changes. So I tried the styles from v1.7.9 - still bugs.

With both Chrome 27 and Firefox 21 on Mac OS X I get:
- missing splitter and a gap between feeds-holder and header-wrap, i.e. "main area"
- feeds-holder is not scrollable
- header-wrap is cut-off to the right

I think it's because you tried to gain too much control over dijit majic (e.g. #header-wrap { left: 272px !important }). It also drove me nuts when doing my feedly theme. Dijit recalculates margins, paddings etc. and positions everything absolutely. You can't fight it, you have to get a feel for it :)

Anyway: Keep it up and have fun!

Hi levito,

i use v1.7.9 on linux with opera/firefox.

But no default styles sounds nice. Perhaps i'll switch to the github version soon and rebuild this theme.

Thanks for your feedback so far!

I switched to the latest code from GitHub, what a relief...

I've uploaded a revised and enhanced version of the theme.

The v1.7.9 version is also available, but it won't be improved anymore.

I used your yagr theme and there is something wrong with hotkey, pushing n (next article) it doesnt scoll to next.
It just marks as read next ones when n-key was pushed.

Hi, nice theme, thanks!
But there is a bug, I can scroll list of Rss-chanells on default theme, but I can't on your theme, I use iPad. By the way your theme is nice on iPad:) Could you fix this bug?
Thanks.
