Is there a way to provide own themes in app?

you're free to get the source off github and customize whatever

rimeraz wrote:with the last update from 1.88 to 1.90 the appearance of read / unread articles has changed. I'm using dark theme and unread articles had a lighter background than read articles. From 1.90 on, you can hardly distinguish between read and unread articles because background color is almost identical.
I get similar behavior on my droid turbo (4.4). I can *just* tell the difference, but only if I have an unread article next to a read article. On my Nexus 7 (2013) it's easier to tell, but not as easy as in previous versions of the theme. I'd prefer a bit more contrast between read and unread articles

maybe i'll make the text grayer or something, the background is like that because in cardless design previous color was making list item separators invisible

I've seen this crop up before... this is a quirk of AMOLED screens, and the fact that their contrast levels are so much different from backlit LCD screens.
The Droid Turbo has AMOLED, and the Nexus 7 does not. That's why you're seeing such a difference between the two.

thanks dawg. on a slightly more positive note i think i have isolated yet another possible cause of the mysterious crashes. as usual it is my fault in assuming that anything in android works as advertised despite so much evidence to the contrary.

Tried this latest apk. All four feeds I complained about work great, both on the phone and on the tablet (landscape and portrait modes). Thanks!
Holy crap development for Android looks like a wild ride. Here I thought it can't be worse than Windows Mobile...

Hello Mr. Grumpy Russia,
since a few weeks, I've got a black square around my TTRSS Widget (no Samsung Shitphone, Motorola Moto X with Android 4.4.4).

It's a little bit anoying, please fix it.

Why can't you make it transparent?
> consider taking your racist shit
This wasn't meant to be racist. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Re: Android client: if only I could unread the sdk
that's how googles guidelines specify the look for widgets[1], also making it transparent makes it look weirder on the launcher screen as it is impossible to imitate the launcher icon and it always looks somehow off
with the background at least it's always obvious how it is a widget i.e. a separate thing which is allowed to look like it looks

Re: Android client: if only I could unread the sdk
get a load of this, guys:
some retard cloned the app, changed the copyrights and name, and republished it. one problem tho is that he forgot to change the endpoint ACRA crash reporting library points to, so now his clone dutifully reports crashes to tt-rss.org. thanks, guy!
https://play.google.com/store/apps/deta ... .newstamil
also going by the crash report, he is not very sharp otherwise:
not only cloning the code but actively breaking it. tsk-tsk.
