Hi,
I've built a plugin which adds a new API, getCompactHeadlines, which was requested by the author of News+ (former GReader) Android app to allow two way synchronization. It is hosted on GitHub (https://github.com/hrk/tt-rss-newsplus-plugin) and it was a (more or less) quick & dirty rip of the official getHeadlines API call (hence the same license).
It returns a list of ID-s without any other data, without a limit on the requested items (even 10.000 if the client is configured this way).
Fox, you have already expressed multiple times that you didn't want to make such a limitless API because you liked a different approach, however since I made it, I want to ask if you'd accept this plugin in the official source or, if not, list it in the official page.

Re: getCompactHeadlines API
I'll link to this thread on the plugin index wiki page, thanks!
Re: getCompactHeadlines API
Thank YOU for developing an application where I can add APIs you don't like through plugins.

Re: getCompactHeadlines API
Update to latest TT-RSS broke this plug-in. I added it to the system plug-ins but I can't enable it:

Re: getCompactHeadlines API
If you mean 1.10, I was holding back for 1.11 but I'll look into it.
@Fox: any pointer to changes in 1.10 which could cause this?

Maybe you should read the wiki or something.
Re: getCompactHeadlines API
The instructions say: Globally enable it by adding it to the system plugins in the config. I did.

Re: getCompactHeadlines API
If you did add it correctly, then either the plugin is somehow broken or it is too old and not compatible with api 2 added in 1.8 I think. You never specified the version you updated from so I can't tell if that is the case or not.
There were no plugin breaking changes in the few latest milestones, so there's that.

Re: getCompactHeadlines API
Hm, I thought I always use the latest version, regularly checking the "Update" tab in the prefs.
(I wish TTRSS had a changelog file with date stamps...)
I'd assume the plug-in to be broken then. As the dev is reading here, maybe he knows better... I'm currently running 1.10.

Re: getCompactHeadlines API
btw you can see if the plugin uses older api if it doesn't have function api_version() in it, there are manuals on the forums on how to adapt those plugins.

Where can I see which version is affected? - OK, the roadmap was new to me, thanks.

well, then, why don't you use it and quit asking questions that you can find the answers to if you look?
searching for 'plugin api' gets me enough info to find the answer pretty quickly, hell, if you even look through the stickied posts on the support forum, you'll find the answer to your question.
