Hi there,
Is there any information about "Starred Articles"? I totally get if I wish to star an article it saves the article to the "starred article section" and downloads images to "cache/starred-images".
My question is when I click on "Starred Articles > my article" and hover over the image in that article, the image is still linking to the original blog/news site. Shouldn't it be linking to the local "starred-images" directory if the blog/news site goes down?
I'd be happy to document this up in the Wiki for other users on questions etc.
Thanks again!
Bob

Re: Starred Articles
We were all waiting for you to have an epiphany, but here it goes...
The linked images are obviously going to show (in the tooltip) the external link because that's where the image is linking to... You know, because it's a link to somewhere else.
It's the image itself that gets cached. So right-click and copy image URL or open image in a new tab or whatever your flavour of browser has and you should see the image open with a URL that's to your TT-RSS install.

Wow man that does not answer the question. Take your time, read, and process the question before answering so it can also help others.
I dont see the point of caching the images if its not even being used in TT-RSS. The "starred articles" are just a bookmarker thats all. Currently I am seeing no URL link to the cached image on my TT-RSS install.
The linked images was just an example to show the cached images were not used (thinking they should be if viewed in the "starred article" section").

Here's an example, if you copy and paste the following HTML into Notepad and save as "idiot.html" (including the quotes). Then, open it in your browser.
You'll see that when you view the page, you're looking at one image, if you click the image, however, you'll see that it's linked to an entirely different image. This is basic HTML 101 shit.
Code: Select all
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<body>
<a href="http://rlv.zcache.com/you_sir_are_an_idiot_mousepad-rb0440a7ed3c84ab5abd57a0274884dea_x74vi_8byvr_512.jpg"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_8Tq9NaRZuoo/SOlV3Vi8ZpI/AAAAAAAAAHw/TRpmY8lPqPU/s400/idiot.gif" /></a>
</body>
</html>
