I cannot seem to get this extension to work on my installation. I am in single user mode, does that make a difference?

I'll fix this in the next extension update. Maybe add a "single user mode" checkbox or something.

The update should be live now. It also includes fixed (e.g. no longer blurred) icons.

Great little extension!

It would be even more great if it also could update all feeds with the check interval, so no cron job is needed.

I've hacked the source code to call

update_daemon_common($link, 0, true, false);

when op=getUnread is parsed in backend.php.
But I had also to deactivate DAEMON_SENDS_DIGESTS, otherwise send_headlines_digests() would output debug messages (even though it would be more intuitive if it didn't when I call update_daemon_common() with debug=false) and break the extension's unread messages display.
