General question

ISSUE: I need to have an accessible IRC account with irc.onlinegamesnet.net .
PROBLEM: This server is secured and requires an AuthServ prior to login, also part of the security is to check your IP with each input. The problem I have is that I drive a Semi-truck for a living and I use a laptop running off the HotSpot on my IPhone via a USB connection. So my IP is forever changing.

QUESTION: Will this client solve the issue? From what I have read I believe it will?!?

Yes, you could also use a bouncer of which there are many, i.e. dircproxy. Unless you actually need ajax irc in your web browser.

You will obviously need a vds somewhere to run actual tt-irc backend server. Same with irc bouncer.

e: iirc in the older days years ago there were services that provided irc proxy access for a small fee specially for people on dialup and whatnot, similar to your situation. I have no idea if it's a thing that exists in 2014 but if it does the pricing should be way less than a proper vds you will need to run tt-irc / your own irc proxy.

Ok let me explain further...The irc chat rooms I need to get into are used by regular players to ask game questions. They do not have or use any of that and I doubt they even have a static IP. I do have a website w/2 subs hosted by Host Monster. The IP is shared not a VPN. Although the players are getting in using mIRC or chatzilla so I believe the IP Check is only going 2 deep as in physical address and not all the way down to ports so I don't think a VPN would be needed.
I basically need something to log in on my website and use it's IP to first perform the AuthServ(to set up the account) and then act as a relay for my phone.

You need to understand I did a lot of PC programming back in the 80/90's but never server stuff until I created my web site. Also I have very little experience even in a chat room more less IRCchat.

So if this something that could allow me to access the irc.onlinegamesnet.net network then is there anyone out there that would be willing to install/test it for a small price for me?

If your problem is your IP changing all the time and you losing connection or having to reauthenticate or w/e because of it, an irc bouncer on a dedicated fixed IP would easily solve it. The irc server would only see address of your VDS running the bouncer. Just google it. Shared hosting is not going to help here, you can't run background processes on those.

Alternatively you can run tt-irc backend server with the same end result of irc server seeing your tt-irc server IP, in this case tt-irc will act as a bouncer.

In both situations you will be connected to the service which will proxy actual irc connections so you won't lose messages when your shitty 3g connections changes ip or disconnects or w/e.

Key part being you acquiring access to a VDS somewhere (for tt-irc) or googling "irc bouncer service" because otherwise nothing will work.
