[1.9] Obsolete method of updating feed dont work

Postby LoCoRoCo » 23 Jul 2013, 14:41

Hello,

i use the "Obsolete/unsupported methods of updating feeds" and it dont work with 1.9. Have anyone the same problem? I can't use a other methode for update because my TT-RSS installation is on a shared hosting server.

I suggest you downgrade to 1.7.8 or even below. That's what I did for the period that the obsolete method stopped working for me during the 1.8 cycle (and then worked fine again :-?) and everything went fine.

And then look for another hosting.

If you are talking about backend.php?op=globalUpdateFeeds it's still in there. You can also substitute backend.php with public.php.

e: it would probably be better if globalupdatefeeds handler used the same mechanism as simple updater because it accounts for script execution time so you shouldn't run into script timeouts so much. You can also call it more frequently.

You will see a different kind of output when calling globalupdatefeeds (JSON object) which will show amount of feeds updated.
