file_get_contents() failed to open stream: operation failed

Postby grimmbart » 15 Feb 2017, 17:17

Hi,

recently I switched my hoster to a new one, both shared hosting. At the old hoster, I successfully used tt-rss. I moved all files and the database to the new hoster, and now tt-rss can't update feeds using https. Http-feeds just update as usual.

It says:

Code: Select all

file_get_contents() failed to open stream: operation failed

I searched for possible reasons for this, but couldn't find anything missing.
Things I checked: allow_url_fopen is on, PHP Version is 5.6.30, and SSL Version is OpenSSL/1.0.2k, Server uses Apache 2.0.

I'm at a loss here, since I don't even know what to ask the hosters support to change for me. Maybe you could point me to a direction what to check.

Thanks.

the only direction i could point you towards is a new hoster (preferably using a vds so you won't have to deal with stuff being arbitrarily blocked)

but you probably already know that

It turned out to be a misconfiguration from the hoster, after the last upgrade of their php-version.

Thanks nonetheless.
