Let compile *.po using -f (fuzzy) option to msgfmt
Let compile *.po using -f (fuzzy) option to msgfmt
When I updated russian translation, I thought that somebody will check strings translated by me and if they were ok, clear the "fuzzy" status of them. Now I see that nobody clear that status, so many correctly translated strings are lost for users. May be we should user -f option of msgfmt to compile *.po? Or may be exclusively for russian.

That somebody is supposed to be you. Also, wrong forum.
Re: Let compile *.po using -f (fuzzy) option to msgfmt
I've done it when I did pull request. I have changed files in my installation. But when I update it from 1.10 tar.gz distribution, *.mo files were overwritten. So may be you can place *.mo files compiled with -f in distribution packs?

Seriously? Don't submit broken .mo files, fix .po files by going through fuzzy translations, verifying they are correct and removing the fuzzy line.
Submitting broken .mo files is not the correct solution here. Unless you have no idea what fuzzy translation means (protip: you can't just ignore this word and hope for the best).
Ignoring fuzzy directive for russian translation alone because you personally are too lazy is fascinatingly stupid. Do your fucking work properly if you want to contribute to this project or get out.

Re: Let compile *.po using -f (fuzzy) option to msgfmt
Don't be so rude. Where am I lazy? I know English and want to translate but it's my first with *.po files and I just don't know the translation process. And there is misunderstanding between us caused by fact that we can't speak Russian.
Once again. I just don't know what to do with fuzzy phrases. I have checked them and corrected if needed. I suggested that they will be approved by some old member of this project and fuzzy status will be cleared. (There are translators and translation moderators aka corrector when something being group translated). If you think I'm translator and moderator for myself - good, it's much easier for me because I translate without setting fuzzy status (I've done it specially for all string translated or corrected by me! So don't tell me that I'm lazy!).

Well, you are the first person here who had difficulty understanding how the "translation process" works. And you have started with asking for special handling of your translation file or "somebody" do things every other translator did themselves.
As a general guideline, if you don't want me to be rude, try doing less of the above.
>I just don't know what to do with fuzzy phrases.
Verify the translation and clear the fuzzy line afterwards. Submit corrected .po file afterwards, .mo files are regenerated from master .pot from time to time when .po files are rebased.
>(There are translators and translation moderators aka corrector when something being group translated).
Unless you plan to actually go ahead and find all those people, I'm afraid I have bad news.

I've read guideline to my program. Normal group translation proccess is that I've described. I simply don't know that you have no people who check what people commit in translations. For example I think sash-kan is russian translation maintainer.

How often new original strings are added to .po? What are these commented strings in the end of file? Should I translate them?
Who has translated all this fuzzy lines before me with out unsetting fuzzy flag? It's the second reason why I was confused.

May be there is some place here on this forum where we can cooperate with other translators in Russian language and choose one translation maintainer? I saw different people who update Russian translation.

When the .po files are updated based on current development code.

Those are not in the source anymore, I suppose you can ignore those lines.
>May be there is some place here on this forum where we can cooperate with other translators in Russian language and choose one translation maintainer?
The place is specifically this subforum. Everyone else has no problem communicating in English so you'll have to deal with it, I'm afraid.
You can contact previous translation maintainers if you want to. The emphasis here being is that you should stop wasting my time with your posting about you needing special treatment for some reason because of your supposed native language and actually start doing something constructive. Like updating a fucking translation file, if you so choose.
Alternatively you can start selecting a committee to find a correct forum to discuss the possibility of the formation of the overseeing committee for the translation moderators but I suggest you do it somewhere else and not involve me in the proceedings if at all possible because I have actual shit to do. Thanks.
