Support for more powerful themes

would be great to have the possibility to create more powerful themes with html templates instead of just CSS + assets. Is there an interest for it? Could also do it by myself and send you a diff or you grant me permissoins to branch the project in Gitlab.

Just out of curiosity what is the point of having more powerful themes?

For a while I ran an angular version of the site using the API so it would behave exactly the way I wanted to. I also wanted to learn angular so it was an easy project to learn with.

As randompherret wrote - you can write different markup, use the tt-rss API with a JS Framework. It would be easy to create and distribute modern UI's for tt-rss.
